Overview
The Department of Public Law offers postgraduate courses in criminology leading to Honours, Masters and Doctoral degrees in the Faculties of Law and Humanities.
Further support is offered to students through regular seminars held at the Centre. These seminars provide students with an opportunity to present their research findings and receive support and guidance from peers, supervisors and invited commentators as well as to learn from the work of invited speakers.
Students are encouraged to play a valuable role in shaping the research activities of the Centre and in organizing and leading internal and public seminars, workshops and social events held to facilitate discussion and debate.
Research assistantships are offered to students to help develop research skills, while benefitting research projects. Scholarships through the National Research Foundation Chair in African Security and Justice are available for Honours, Masters, Doctoral and Post-doctoral candidates.
