John Cartwright
John Cartwright completed his doctorate in medieval studies at the University of Toronto in 1974 and has held teaching positions in English at the Universities of Stellenbosch, Toronto and Cape Town. In 1998, he joined the Community Peace Programme, a research institute within the School of Government at the University of the Western Cape and is at present a consultant with the Centre of Criminology. John is involved in the "Neighbourhood Director Co-ordination Programme", a joint venture between the Centre of Criminology, the Dutch Police and the City of Cape Town.
